Healthy Living Wellness Program
MGM Resorts International and its hotels and casinos has partnered with CIGNA HealthCare, a leading healthcare organization, to oversee our Healthy Living Program. This population-based health and wellness program provides employees of MGM Resorts International and its hotels and casinos with the tools and resources to better manage, maintain and improve their health and the health of their covered dependents. All Healthy Living Programs are available free of charge and regardless of health.
The Healthy Living Health Assessment
This web-based health questionnaire can provide you with instant information about potential health risks and can guide you to other programs that can help you better manage your health.
Wellness Floating Holidays
Employees with coverage under the MGM Resorts International Health Plan or Health Plan of Nevada (HMO) can receive a paid day off to get a physical exam. You must have your physician complete an authorization form to be paid for your day off.
Onsite Health Screening Events
Health professionals periodically offer free health screenings to employees during onsite events:
- Mammograms
- Dental services
- Blood pressure checks
Lifestyle Management Programs
The Lifestyle Management Programs can help MGM Resorts International Health Plan members make lasting behavioral and lifestyle changes that lead to improved health. Eligible participants can select a telephonic program and/or an online program. Programs include:
- Tobacco Cessation
- Weight Management
- Stress Management
Disease Management
MGM Resorts International employees covered under the MGM Resorts International Health Plan and their covered dependents can receive professional assistance from CIGNA HealthCare to manage chronic health conditions. Programs include:
- Heart Disease
- Diabetes
- Asthma
- Low back pain
- COPD
Tobacco Cessation
MGM Resorts International employees and covered dependents have the opportunity to quit tobacco for good with a choice of programs to best meet their needs. Program resources include:
- Free Nicotine Replacement Treatment (Patches, Gum or Lozenges)
- Self-help Materials
- Counseling
- Community Referrals
- Website Referral
- Discounted Prescriptions
24/7 Nurse Call Centers
You and your covered dependents have 24/7 access by telephone to registered nurses. These free services provide callers with health and nutrition information, assistance finding a physician and triage.
Baby and Me
This maternity program is open to all MGM Resorts International Health Plan members and their covered dependents. The program provides:
- Educational Materials
- Pregnancy Assessments
- 24/7 Toll-free Call Center Staffed by Maternity Nurses
- Free Coordination of Care Services for Participants with High-risk Conditions
Health Plan of Nevada (HMO) offers a similar maternity management program through its Health Education and Wellness Division.
