What training and development programs did you
take advantage of through the company?
At MGM University I took computer and management classes and I also used the Tuition Reimbursement program in obtaining my MBA at the University of Phoenix.
What has been your most memorable moment
working at MGM Resorts International?
Within the eight years that I've been with the company, there is definitely more than one memorable moment. One of them was being involved in Adopt a Family at MGM Resorts International. I was part of the group that interviewed the employees that needed a lot of help during the holidays. Knowing more about the community and being able to help out, despite the busy schedule at work, is always a good thing.
If you could give any advice or words of wisdom to applicants looking into MGM Resorts International as a career choice, what would you say?
Never stop learning-whether academically or professionally, always seize the opportunity to learn more. Stay motivated. Don't just memorize the processes and procedures at work; also understand WHY you're doing the things you're doing. Always find ways to be more efficient and effective.
Always have a positive attitude-come to work with a positive attitude and leave work fulfilled. Having a positive attitude reflects on your job performance and enhances your relationship with others.
Most importantly, be a team player-never say it's not your job. Don't hesitate to take on any challenge and be able to organize and prioritize.

I would not assume anything. Get the facts straight before making any decisions. In this hospitality and gaming industry we're in, it's very important to document your work and have a solid basis for any decision you make.
